LED Lighting

The quality of the lighting within the spray booth is integral when considering the purchase of lights. Standard fluorescent lighting tends to deteriorate in both colour and brightness with age.  LED lighting is the most efficient and cost effective in the long run, with estimated energy efficiency of 80% to 90% when compared to conventional lighting.

If you take a longer term view of operating costs and make the switch to LED lighting, the savings will be greater long term.  LED lighting is just about maintenance free and in most cases will operate from between 10 to 20 years without maintenance without the compromise of high lux levels.  So, you end up with longer life lighting with more savings.

From the point of view of the environment, LED lighting is the “green” option.  Fluorescent tubes contain lead and mercury.  With the shift towards “greener” lighting solutions, we expect fluorescent tubes will become more expensive and harder to source.

LED lighting is not just for new booths, they can also be retro fitted into just about any existing booth or paint mixing room.
